Chapter 11
The smell of toast and omelet filled the quiet morning air of Minho, Onew and Key’s apartment room. Key, being the first to wake up, is cooking breakfast. The boys always leave the cooking to him as he is more than happy to do it. Minho finally woke up to the delicious aroma which made his stomach grumble. He was still in his pajamas and his hair was crazily messed up. He staggered to the dining table and sat down.
Key: YAH!! Go get ready first! You can’t be eating breakfast like that!
Minho: *still sleepy and whines. Anniyo, it’s too cold.
Key: Don’t make me go there and drag you to the shower.
With that, Minho bolted up from the chair and ran to the bathroom, afraid of Key’s threats. He almost knocked into Onew who was grinning madly. Onew sat down as Key put breakfast on the table.
Onew: Where’s the chicken?
Key: *gets angry. FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME, IT’S NOT HEALTHY TO HAVE CHICKEN FOR BREAKFAST. NOW SHUT UP AND EAT.
Onew: O.o Okay.
Key: And what’s with the mad grinning just now.
Onew: *smiles at the thought of his reason. Nahh, I was just thinking about yesterday. Wasn’t it cool?
Key: Yeah, Min Young-ah is really cool.
Onew: And we get to meet her again today! :D
Key: Ohh, so you’re excited to meet her today.
Onew: hell yeah! I have FIRST period with her!
Key: *laughs. You made the right choice. Remember Hee Hyun? She won’t stop stalking Minho now.
Minho: *interrupts. Do no mention her name, EVER.
Onew: Relax Minho. We won’t and I still regret until today, kay?
Key: Yeah, now eat up so we can catch the bus.
They ate without another word. Later, as they were reaching the school, they saw HER and Minho ran for cover. Figured out whom? Yes, it was Hee Hyun. It was her routine to wait for 10 minutes outside the college gates at 7.30am. It was Minho’s routine to run into the bushes and wait 10 minutes. On Key’s moody days, he’ll go tell her off so that Minho can come out of the bushes. Sometimes she’ll listen, mostly she doesn’t. And Key was feeling moody today.
Key: Hey BITCH.
Hee Hyun: *annoyed Go away Key.
Key: Hell no. You go away. And forget about a slight chance that Minho would want some whore like you. Tch. He never will! You’re a freaking stalker and he wants to be left alone!
Hee Hyun: Look, I don’t get you guys. You were so nice to me on my first day and now you’re like this?
Onew: After what you did to Minho? We have the right to be like this! Now leave him alone.
Hee Hyun: I didn’t do anything to Minho!
Key: Kiss my ass you didn’t do anything. We know well what you did, you slut.
Hee Hyun: At least I’m not gay, Key, unlike you.
Key: Oh, that’s it. I don’t care if I get expelled! *raises his fist
Min Young: *suddenly grabs Key’s arm NO! Don’t.
The atmosphere changed when they realized Min Young’s presence. She and Taemin saw them arguing from afar and Jonghyun caught up with them and didn’t like the chaos there. He even pointed out to them where Minho was hiding. Min Young wanted to cry when she saw how helpless he was in the bushes.
Hee Hyun: You guys got a new assistant I see. *approached Min Young
Onew: *stood infront of Min Young. Hee Hyun, I think you better get to class.
Hee Hyun: I don’t get it! What’s the difference between her and me?! *leaves crying
Minho got out of the bushes with Jonghyun and Taemin’s help and thanked Key. Key hugged Min Young. At that moment, they knew they were thinking of the same thing; the boys knew that they won’t be able to stop if Min Young wasn’t there. They didn’t want this fight to be hers too. They wanted to keep Hee Hyun as far away from themselves, especially Min Young. She was too young to even know what happened. The whole day, they tried to avoid the question every time Min Young asked who Hee Hyun was. They have to keep it a secret from her.

Chapter 10
Min Young’s diary
Dear Diary,
It’s my first day in ABIS and I love it. There were these few guys who were so nice to me. I don’t know how I could survive such a drastic school without them. Firstly, I met Onew oppa. There was such a brotherly side to him. He was the first person to say hi to me in ABIS during biology. I was so comfortable with him. He was the first of the awesomest guys. After him, I met one by one. In World History, I met Jonghyun oppa. He has the most dashing smile I’ve ever seen. I was introduced to him by Onew oppa. He too was really nice to me and was really surprised by my age. He then introduced me to Taemin who was three years older than me. Taemin took me for a walk today and we climbed a tree. Taemin was so cool and I am lucky to have a friend like that. I met Key oppa next and we bonded almost immediately. I found out he loves shopping and we promised to go to a nearby shopping mall this Saturday. Then, I met Minho. He was nice but there’s something about him that I couldn’t understand. Then again, I couldn’t understand anything today. The guys were so friendly and I am growing to love this place.
Love,
Jung Min Young.

Chapter 9
The house phone started ringing. Ms. Kim put aside the ladle she was holding to cook soup down. She went to answer the phone. Hearing the excited voice of a girl on the other line, it was confirmed that it wasn’t for her.
Ms. Kim: Min Young-ah! The phone’s for you!
Min Young: *runs down the stairs and takes the phone from her mom, thanks. Hello?
Someone: Guess whooo~ *sing-song
Min Young: Sung Gi?
Sung Gi: Oh my god! Hell yeah!! HAVE YOU MET ANY HOT KOREAN GUYS? WHAT ABOUT SUJU? SURE YOU WOULD HAVE SPOTTED DBSK BY NOW. HAVE YOU?! HAVE YOU?! YOU MU-
Min Young: SUNG GI! Can you shut the fuck up? Yes I live in Korea now but that doesn’t mean I like K-pop. I can like anybody I want now. Heck, I can even like Justin Bieber without any of you Malaysians judging every single thing.
Sung Gi: Whoa, are you being racists now? I’m not even Malaysian. We’re both Koreans remember?
Min Young: You’re not. Your dad’s Chinese and your mom’s part Korean. You started liking Koreans and you wanted a Korean name like your mom so she gave you a random one.
Sung Gi: Now you’re being hurtful, Min Young. Yes my dad’s Chinese but he agreed with my mom to give me a Korean name. My Korean name is official. You have the rights to be mad at me, but that doesn’t mean you can bring up that issue. You suck. *about to hang up
Min Young: WAIT. Sung Gi, wait. I’m sorry. I just hate It when you go on blabbering about K-pop.
Sung Gi: I’m sorry too. It’s just that, I so wanna be full Korean like you.
Min Young: What’s so great about being me? :)
Sung Gi: EVERYTHING. Hello, you’re in Korea now? Do you how hot it is here? Anyways, any new friends?
Min Young: *hesitates. (Think: The boys. No, I won’t tell her.) Nope. I’ll fish some tomorrow.
Sung GI: *laughs. I’ve got to go. I need to get SS3 tickets. Bye! *hangs up
Min Young put the phone down and went back to her room. She lay on her bed, thinking why did she feel protective of the boys and didn’t want to tell Sung Gi about it? Maybe, it’s because she’s nuts. Yeah, that’s the reason Min young will stick to.
*decicated entirely to Nabila Isham. :)

Chapter 8
Jonghyun: Bye guys, bye Min Young. :) *rides off on his bike
Minho: *hugs Min Young. The bus is here. See you tomorrow.
Key, Onew, and Taemin: *group hugs them.
When they let go, Minho, Key and Onew went on the bus. From inside they waved goodbye.
Taemin: *about to ride his bike
Min Young: Taemin oppa let me give you a ride.
Taemin: *smiles. Ok.
Ms. Kim’s car pulled up infront of them. She strolled down the window and looked at Taemin.
Ms. Kim: And who is this?
Min Young: Mom, this is Lee Taemin. He lives right infront of our house, can he ride with us?
Ms. Kim: Sure, sure. Now get in, I’ll take you home.
On the way home, Min Young felt left out as she sat at the backseat with Taemin. He and her mom were talking in Korean and its sounds like their joking with each other. Min Young wanted to know what they were talking too. At times, Taemin would whisper to her certain words but she looked away. She was somehow mad. Taemin was her friend. Not her Mom's.
Taemin: uli dongne juwileul geol-eo boja. (we're going for a walk around the neighbourhood.
Ms. Kim: joh-a , geulaeseo nan geunyang nae jib-e godbalo gal geoya . (ok, i'll just go straight to my house.)
Taemin: Thank you for the ride, Ms. Kim. We’ll be off now. Come on, Min Young. *pulled her to the roadside.
Min Young: *puzzled. Where we going?
Taemin: *pulled until her house out of listening range. I told your mom we were going for a walk.
Min Young: When did you- Oh…. You told her in Korean didn't you?
Taemin: *ashamed. I’m sorry about just now. She said it was nice to speak in Korean again.
Min Young: Oh, I’m not mad. Well, maybe just a little jealous.
Taemin: *looks at her. Really? I mean, sorry. *gets an idea Yah! The hyungs and I can teach you how to speak Korean. :D
Min Young: Awesomee. : DD *sigh Compared to what happened in school, this is a boring neighborhood.
Taemin: *surprised. No it’s not. *takes her hand and pulls her again I’ll show you something that isn’t. :)
They ran towards the nearby park which has a single big tree in the middle. Taemin explained that it is said that tree grows not from sunlight but from the growing love of those around it. As it was humongous, the love among the neighborhood must be strong.
Taemin: Let’s climb it.
Min Young: *excited. I’m an expert at climbing trees. Back in Malaysia, I used to climb trees every time at my friends village.
Taemin: Awesome, then I’ll race you to the top. :D
Min Young: You’re on.
They raced to the top. Of course Taemin won. He more familiar to the tree than Min Young was. At the highest they can go, they sat down on the branch and just admired the scenery of the city. They sat side by side and Min Young rested her head on Taemin’s shoulder.
Min Young: Korea is amazing.
Taemin: (think: You’re amazing) But you've only been here for 1 day, what makes it so amazing?
Min Young: The people in it. *smiles Onew oppa, Jonghyun oppa, Key oppa, Minho oppa… You. :)
Taemin: *looks at her really? We made Korea amazing to you?
Min Young: *laughs. Of course! Why were you guys so nice to me? Or are you guys really this nice to everyone?
Taemin: *realizes. Not really. You’re the first other person we know in ABIS. *laughs we don’t really socialize because it bothers Minho hyung. We tried to make friends with this beautiful girl once. She went through everything you went through today but, when it came to Minho hyung, he ignored her completely.
Min Young: Really? Why?
Taemin: I don’t know. I mean, you’re exactly like her, beautiful, a good dancer…
AWKWARD SILENCE.
Min Young: I-I think we better go.
Taemin: yeah… we should. I’ll meet you outside your house at 7.30am.

Chapter 7
The dance studio was amazing. Three sides of the wall were made of mirrors and the last one had a sky wall paper. On that wallpaper was one section. Pictures of the 5 boys under the section, best group dance of the month. The sound system was at the far end of the room. The room even had its own lighting. The dance duel started. The first few people were good. But Taemin was boasting of that he could do better than the whole class. Min Young looked back at the best group dance section, well, he deserved to say that. From time to time, Taemin asked whether Min Young was nervous, she would answer truthfully. Yes, she was damn nervous. These people here were great and Min Young just danced for fun.
Taemin: It’s okay. Just think that you’re dancing with only me in the room.
Min Young: *nods and got up for their turn.
Taemin was amazing. Min Young tried to keep her awe to herself. His moves were smooth and unique. He was like a machine with flexibility. Min Young danced when it was her turn. She took Taemin’s advice; she only looked at Taemin and other random parts of the studio.
Poppin’ bottles in the ice, like a blizzard, when we drink we do it right getting slizzard
The applause rose. Both Temin and Min Young bowed and went back to sit with their oppas/hyungs. The boys were praising Min Young for her dancing as she went red. Being modest, she said thank you but her danced seemed like marbles rolling out of a jug on the floor next to Taemin’s. The boys laughed at her description. Min Young smiled and shed a small tear of happiness.

Chapter 6
They went out of that class and went to put their bags in their locker. Surprisingly, their lockers are next to each others’. The other 4 boys have their lockers on the same row. They walked to the cafeteria where all the other students were either playing with instruments, simply chatting, practicing dance moves or eating. The round table at the end was filled with 4 familiar boys.
Minho: HEY. :D
Onew, Taemin, Key, Jonghyun: *turns back. MIN YOUNG! : DD
Min Young: *laughs Hey.
Minho: Ohh, fiinee. *annoyed
Onew, Taemin, Key, Jonghyun: MINHO. : DD
Minho: *laughs. That’s more like it.
Onew: Now go buy us lunch.
Minho: O.o
Jonghyun: Yeah, it's your turn.
Key: *realizes something. Wait! I’ll only buy for Min Young because I promised her.
Min Young: *shocked. Oppa! Anniyo! It’s okay.
Minho: Yeah, oppa! Buy for me instead!
Key: No way. Lightening your burden by one meal is good enough. : P
The whole time, they laughed and shared different stories with each other. Min Young just couldn’t understand how laid back they were with someone new. Heck, she couldn’t understand almost everything today. These boys had adopted her like they had planned it. She loved how friendly and brotherly they were.
Jonghyun: Min Young-ah! What are you staring at? *consciously touches his face
Min Young: *realizes she’s staring at Jonghyun and snaps out of it. Oh, nothing. Anyway, we all have dance after class right? :D
Taemin: Yeah! You and me, dance duel.
Min Young: You’re on.
Minho: Before we go home, we have sports. We have that everyday. Today, we're going for basketball.
Key: Onew hyung, Minho and I later take the city bus to our apartments. Taemin and Jonghyun cycle home but they go separate ways.
Min Young: My mom is picking me up today. Tomorrow, I use the bicycle. I live in Palmwood Estate.
Taemin: Omo! I live there too! Are you the one who moved into No.7??
Min Young: Yeah! This is so cool! *gets really hyper with Taemin
Jonghyun: This is not good. One kid was hard enough to handle. -.-

Chapter 5
The bell rang and they walked side by side to Min Young’s next class. They talked about the outing that Taemin invited Min Young to. It was this Saturday and also Taemin’s turn to pick where to go. Key suggested that they go shopping after that.
Minho: *interrupting. Key finally has a shopping mate.
Min Young: *laughs
Key: *rolls his eyes. Yeah, yeah. Minho, Min Young.
Minho: *extend his hands
Min Young: *shakes it
For some reason, when they shook hands, both of them didn’t want to let go. They stared into each other for a very long time. No, not in the lovers’ way but a way that neither of them could understand. It’s like they’ve found each other after years of searching.
Key: *weirded out Whoa, break it up. I’ll see you guys during lunch. *leaves
Minho: Where are you from?
Min Young: Malaysia. Have we met?
Minho: I don’t think so. Anyway, let’s get into class.
When they took their seat, the teacher called to Min Young.
Teacher: Dear, are you new?
Min Young: Yeah, I’m Min Young.
Teacher: Minho, you have such a beautiful sister.Minho: *puzzled. She’s not my sister.
Teacher: Well, never the less, you’re still beautiful. *turns and start teaching
Min Young: *puzzled Do we look alike?
Minho: I guess so. Did Key tell you anything about me?
Min Young: Yeah, he said that you were normally quiet.
But in that class, Minho wasn’t. He chatted with Min Young without a care in the world. There was something between them that Min Young couldn’t understand. Minho was so brotherly and there was something about his eyes that she found familiar. She liked the fact that it was huge and, according to Key, can stare down to anyone and make them feel weak. Min Young wanted to feel that. xD
Minho: So, I’m guessing you met all of us?
Min Young: Yeah! They’re so friendly! I met Onew first, then Jonghyun, then Taemin, Key now you. There’s no one else right? :D
Mino: Nope, just us 5. The bells gonna ring, come have lunch with us.
*BELL RINGS
Min Young: Are you like, psychic or something?
Minho: Or something. *laughs
Thursday, February 17
Chapter 4
Taemin was full of energy for some reason Min Young couldn’t understand. But being 3 years younger, she could easily match that energy as she ran with him to her next class. There, Taemin jump onto a guy’s back.
Taemin: Key hyung! *slides of his back
Key: Whoa! Hold your hyperness!
Taemin: I got a new friend. Min Young, this is Kim Kibum. Better known as, Key.
Key: Awesomee. Hey, you’re shorter than Jonghyun hyung. xD
Min Young: *laughs. That’s mean!
Taemin: Yeah! Don’t tease her like that! *protective
Min Young: Anniyo, I’m ok with being short. *laughs I’m pity-ing Jonghyun oppa. :D
Taemin: Oh, annyeonggaseyo. See you during lunch. *blushes and leaves
They entered the class and Min Young Picked up a few words real quick. Even Key was surprised. They talked about a lot of stuff and Key was a real help when Min Young didn’t know the answer. He didn’t tell her the answer but does weird gestures (which aren’t really that weird seeming that he can dance). Min Young ends up laughing but eventually gets the answer. She likes the easiness between herself and Key. Maybe it’s because Key was the guy version of a girl. :D
Min Young: *laughing from one of Key’s gestures. Please tell me you have Maths next.
Key: I wish I could. : (
Min Young: Oh, it’s okay. We’ll see each other during lunch right? Or is there lunch pantries too?
Key: *laughing. Yeah, we’ll see each other at lunch. Hey! As your first day in ABIS, I’ll buy you food.
Min Young: Key oppa! Anniyo! It’s okay! *laughing
Key: I don’t care what you say! xD You know who you remind me of?
Min Young: *curious. Who?
Key: Choi Minho. He’s in your next class.

Chapter 3
Min young was excited to meet Taemin. According to Jonghyun, he was the youngest among the 5 but, Min Young’s younger. After having to meet Onew and Jonghyun, she was excited to meet everyone else. From far, Min Young spotted a small boy, just waiting outside the pantry. That boy looked up when Jonghyun called for him.
Jonghyun: Taemin!
Taemin: *looks up. Hey Jonghyun hyung. *looks at Min Young who is this?
Jonghyun: Min Young, Taemin. Taemin, Min Young.
Min Young: Annyeonghaseyo, Taemin oppa. Whoa, I sound Korean. xD
Taemin: Wait, you’re younger than me? Like 1 year younger?
Min Young: 3. >: D
Taemin: There goes my image. T.T
Jonghyun: Not everything is about your image. Anyway, Min Young can’t speak any Korean except for what she just said. And, I’ve got to go. Bye! *runs off
Taemin: DO you want to eat.
Min Young: Nope. The food doesn’t look appetizing.
Taemin: I agree. I don’t eat during free periods.
Min Young: No wonder you’re damn small.
Taemin: *laughs. Small goes a long way. You haven’t seen me dance. : D
Min Young: I have dance class today, do you?
Taemin: Yeah! It’s during 6th period. I have it with the hyungs.
Min Young: Awesome! We have the same dance class then. I can’t wait.
Min Young and Taemin talked away. She started liking Korea even more. From Taemin’s point of view, Korea is the best place to hang around. He even offered to go an outing with everyone this Saturday. He seemed so easy with someone he just met and that made Min Young very comfortable.
Taemin: So, next period?
Min Young: Simple Hangeul. My mom told me it would be fun to learn.
Taemin: You’ll get to meet Key. Does your mom speak Korean?
Min Young: She does.
Taemin: Then why doesn’t she teach you?
Min Young: Well, my dad doesn’t like Korea for some reason. That’s why my parents moved to Malaysia when they got married. My mom wanted to teach me How to speak Korean and write Hangeul but, my dad doesn’t want me to know anything about this country. Now that they’re divorced, my mom has the freedom to go anywhere she likes. At first, I was afraid because I wondered what made my dad hate this beautiful place.
Taemin: *dazed. You are beautiful…
Min Young: *surprised, Earth to Taemin oppa?
Taemin: Wha? Oh, anyways, your dad’s wrong. Come on, you have to meet Key. :D
p/s : Sorry Nabila Isham, I love you okay. Don't get mad at me, keep reading :DD HWAITING xD

Chapter 2
Min Young and Onew walked side by side in the busy corridor, trying to find the World History class. Well, let’s say it found them as a guy in a bright green jacket waved frantically at them. Min Young’s stomach flipped. They went to him and Onew introduced her to him.
Onew: Min Young, this is my friend Jonghyun. He’ll be in your World History class.
Jonghyun: Annyeonghaseyo. *extends his hand
Min Young: Annyeonghaseyo. *shakes it
Onew: Whoa, you learn fast. :)
Jonghyun: What do you mean?
Onew: She doesn’t speak Korean.
Jonghyun: *looks at Min Young surprised. You don’t?
Min Young: I was born in Malaysia, so no. Well, “annyeonghaseyo” is the only thing I can say for now.
Jonghyun: Awesome, come on. The lesson’s gonna start. Bye Onew hyung!
They sat down next to each other started talking about each other and their backgrounds. Min Young found Jonghyun interesting. He was like Onew in some ways but also awesome in his own ways. He made Min Young laugh so much and she admitted to herself she had never been this happy.
Min Young: What does hyung mean?
Jonghyun: It means big brother, used from male to male.
Min Young: Onew’s your brother?
Jonghyun: *laughs. No, it’s also used in a form of respect because I’m younger than him.
Min Young; Oh, so what do I call him?
Jonghyun: It depends on how old you are.
Min Young: You tell me your age first. :D
Jonghyun: No way, I asked you first.
Min Young: Fine. I’m 15.
Jonghyun: *surprised. Then what are you doing in college?
Min Young: I skipped a few years back in Malaysia.
Jonghyun: That’s awesome! I thought Taemin is the youngest in this school, until you came along. Finally!
Min Young: Are you trying to change the subject?
Jonghyun: Depends. Is it working? ;D
Min Young: Hell no. Now, tell me your age.
Jonghyun: *laughs. You’re really sharp. 21 years internationally, 22 years Korean, which means, you have to call me, oppa. It means big brother, female to male.
Min Young: Alright, Jonghyun oppa. :D So I’m 16 years in Korean. Who’s Taemin?
Jonghyun: He’s my friend. There are five of us who always hang around together. We’re really close to each other. And…
Min Young: If there’s something you don’t want to tell me, it’s ok. :)
Jonghyun: *smiles. Thank you. Hey, the free period here is a little weird. We have to spend it in different rooms called pantries. I’ll be in Pantry 5. What about you?
Min Young: *checks her timetable, gasps. Pantry 2. *feels like crying.
Jonghyun: hey! Don’t cry!
Min Young: I know it’s silly but I don’t want to be lonely.
Jonghyun: That’s not silly, silly. *laughs Besides, Taemin’s in the same pantry.
Chapter 1
Ms. Kim: Nervous?
Min Young: Hell yeah *mumbles
Ms. Kim: Come on, eat something. You don’t want to faint on your first day.
With the thought of that, Min Young’s eyes widened and quickly took on bite of her bread and a sip of the juice. She ran to the living room and took her bag. As she was putting on her Converse, her mom started the car. Min Young stood up and took a deep breath. She started to look around the humongous house and zoned out.
Ms. Kim: MIN YOUNG! WE’RE GONNA BE LATE!
With that, she snapped out of her daydream and ran into the car. As she strapped on the seatbelt, Ms. Kim drove towards ABIS. Ms. Kim started to get worried on her daughter’s silence.
Ms. Kim: Dear, *strokes Min Young’s short hair. It’s gonna be fine. This is your birthplace.
Min Young: Mom, I know it is. But, I’ve been in Malaysia for so long. I can’t even speak Korean!
Ms. Kim: *sigh. You’re going to be fine. It’s not like Koreans can’t speak English.
Min Young: Fine, what if I’m considered weird? What if, nobody wants to be my friend?
Ms. Kim: That’s what you think of yourself. You’re more than that, ok? Give me five dollars if you get a friend by the end of the day. The price increases according to the amount of friend you manage to fish. : P Deal?
Min Young: Deal. :D
When they reached the school, they met the principle of ABIS, Mr. Lerman.
Mr. Lerman: Welcome, Mrs. and Ms. Jung. :)
Ms. Kim: With all due respect, it’s not Mrs. Jung but Ms. Kim. I’m divorced. :)
Mr. Lerman: I’m very sorry for my mistake. I’m Philippe Lerman, the ABIS principal and I proudly welcome you to Ashford Blake of Independent Studies.
Min Young: Thank you. :) Mom, you can go now.
Ms. Kim: Oh, yes. Good luck, dear. *kisses Min Young’s cheek
Mr. Lerman: Now, I would like to compliment you on your choice of subjects. You have absolutely everything, academic, sports, arts. ABIS is lucky to have you. :)
Min Young: Thank you, Mr. Lerman.
Mr. Lerman walked back to his office as Min Young entered her fist class. It was biology and she was excited. Her new teacher seemed to be happy to welcome a new face, but what about her class mates? She then took the only empty seat. It was the front most seat but next to a sweet looking guy. He smiled as she awkwardly took the seat.
Onew: Annyeonghaseyo. :)
Min Young: Uh… Sorry. I’m from Malaysia and I don’t speak Korean. Sorry.
Onew: Choengs- I mean, I’m sorry. Annyeonghaseyo means hi.
Min Young: Oh, ha-ha. Hi. Yeah, I’m actually Korean but I was born there. This is my first time in Korea.
Onew: A Korean that never came to Korea? That’s nuts. No offence.
Min Young: None taken. I never had any relatives anyway. So my parents didn’t see the point of coming back.
Onew: So why did you come back now?
Min Young: Long story. *looks away
Onew: Oh my god. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I’m really sorry.
Min Young: No, no. It’s not you. It’s just that, I came back because my parents got divorced.
Onew: *hesitates I’m really sorry. You didn’t need to tell me that until you’re ready. We don’t even know each others’ names!?
Min Young: HAHA. I’m Jung Min Young.
Onew: I’m Lee Jinki. But, people call me Onew.
They moved on to talking about other stuff even though the biology was babbling her head off about today’s lesson. Min Young liked Onew’s company and hoped that he was in the same classes with her throughout the day. From a third person’s point of view, they look like they’ve been friends since they were babies. Both of them comfortable together, and Min Young loved it. At least now she wouldn’t feel like a weirdo.
Onew: What’s your next class? I hope it’s the same with mine.
Min Young: It’s World History. *crossing her fingers
Onew: Awwww maann. :( I have Geography.
With that, Min Young frowned. She finally found a friend that she knew she would be comfortable with and now, they might have to part ways until next week’s biology.
Onew: Wait, did you say World History? My friend’s in that class. I’ll introduce him to you.
Min Young: *smiles. Awesome, what’s his name?
Onew: Jonghyun.
